MENDAKI SENSE, a subsidiary of Yayasan MENDAKI, was formed in 2004 as a social enterprise. Over the years, SENSE has established itself as a continuing education and training organisation that supports our nation’s campaign in promoting lifelong learning and supporting professional development. It has been our primary objective to equip the workforce with relevant skills and knowledge in anticipation of the uncertainties that inherently exists in today’s job market, coupled with the volatile economic landscape

Over the years, Sense has grown to become a nexus for many activities and services that seeks to serve the community.

  1. How do I register my interest for courses?

    You can register your interest on the courses pages. Click on the modules that interest you and submit the form to request for more information. Our programme executives will be in touch with you.

  3. What documents should I bring to sign up for WSQ courses?

    Please bring along your identification card (IC) and SingPass details and Workfare Training Support (WTS) letter (if any) when you come down to sign up for the courses.

  4. What is the minimum age requirement to sign up for the WSQ courses?

    You need to be 21 years and above to sign up for the courses.

  5. When will I know if the I have applied for is confirmed?

    For Self/Individual Registration, you will receive an SMS reminder (based on the mobile phone number indicated during registration) once the course is confirmed.
    For Corporate/Company Registration, your Human Resource personnel or the officer-in-charge who did the registration on your behalf will receive a confirmation letter from us.

  6. How do I retrieve my certification for the WSQ courses?

    Trainees assessed as competent will receive notification via email or SMS from SSG to view and download their e-Certs after their last assessment.
    With the implementation, all Statements of Attainment (SOAs), Full qualifications and transcript will be in electronic form generated at www.skillsconnect.gov.sg

  7. How can I make use of the SkillsFuture credit when I sign up for courses?

    Visit www.myskillsfuture.sg and log in via your SingPass to claim your SkillsFuture credit when you sign up for course.

  8. What are the different types of funding available?

  9. If I am eligible for the Workforce Training Support (WTS), how do I retrieve my WTS letter?

    You may visit www.workfare.gov.sg and click on “View My Course Fee Subsidy”. After which, log in via your SingPass to view and retrieve your WTS letter.

  10. How can I register for the job fair?

    We will include a registration link on the Events page. Do lookout for our upcoming job fair.

  11. Do I need to register online or can I just walk-in for the job fair?

    We encourage you to register online to avoid long queue at the job fair.

  12. Can foreigners apply for the vacancies available during the job fair?

    We regret to inform you that the job fair is only for Singaporean/PR.

  13. I am interested in coming to the job fair and this is my first time attending a job fair. How do I attend the interviews?

    You will need to register at the resgistration counter. Please bring along your NRIC for registration. Fill up a registration form and proceed to the respective company’s booth for on-site interview.

  14. I missed the recent job fair, can I still apply for a job? How can SENSE officers help me?

    Yes, you may still apply for the job. Email us your resume to careerunit@msense.sg. Indicate the job you would like to apply. If we find you suitable, we will invite you for a pre-screening at our office or a tele-prescreening if you are unable to make a visit. We will then forward your resume to the company for their consideration.

  1. SENIOR EXECUTIVE (CAREER ADVISOR)

  2. Role Description:

    • Manage and administer program for effective implementation to ensure KPIs are met
    • Assess clients to determine the type of client, their individual needs and ultimately provide the assistance and guidance they need
    • Provide skills and career advisory to individuals who are interested to join a sector or to move into other growth areas within the industry
    • Provide industry career advisory on sector, career pathways, occupations/ job roles, as well as existing and emerging skills required for the occupations/ job roles in the SkillsFramework
    • Provide information on the available government initiatives and schemes for personal and/or career development
    • Evaluate skills and experience, assist job seekers in setting goals and recommend relevant training programmes to acquire the necessary skills
    • Facilitate job matching and understand the skills and qualification requirements of available positions;
    • Promote the available vacancies in the Jobs Bank and guide job seekers on skills upgrading and/or career development based on the sector, occupation/job role information in the Skills Framework
    • Follow up with job seekers at regular intervals to track their employment status and provide management reports
    • Lead case conferences with other Career Advisors, to adopt the train-the-trainer model
    • Lead outreach events / activities
    • Conduct ad-hoc training of Career Advisors
    • Coach / mentor other Career Advisors
    • Undertake data analysis to gain greater insights on profile and psyche of job seekers

  3. CAREER SERVICES MANAGER

  4. Role Description:

    • Oversee the development and implementation of career development services and initiatives
    • Oversee the management of community learning programmes and services for the client
    • Develop labour market information and career development resources for delivery of career services
    • Conduct group facilitation activities and case conferencing to deliver career services and initiatives
    • Undertake 1-on-1 personalized career coaching and small group coaching to clients and jobseekers
    • Facilitate clients and jobseekers’ exploration of education, training, employment and career opportunities
    • Provide clients and jobseekers with information and resources on career related topics (job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, industry skills frameworks, career workshops etc)
    • Conduct resume critique, mock interview coaching sessions and job search strategies
    • Provide industry insights based on the career interests
    • Actively facilitate job referrals
    • Keep abreast of latest labour market information, new development in the various sectors and employment landscape
    • Actively work with employers with hiring needs to plan and organize recruitment events
    • Manage a team of career advisors including performance monitoring and identifying opportunities for growth and development

    Requirements:

    • A recognized degree with experiences in career coaching/counselling/graduate recruitment/executive search/human resource
    • Coaching certification(s) would be an added advantage.
    • Passionate in developing and coaching clients to achieve their career aspirations
    • Confident in conducting job-search related workshops
    • Proven competency in building and developing long-term relationship with industry partners
    • Possess strong initiative, self-motivated and achievement-oriented
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Able to build rapport, motivate and inspire young people
    • Minimum 5 years of work experience with good insights in various industry sectors
    • Possess prior experience in events planning and execution, marketing
    • Able to work within tight deadlines and ability to think out of the box when solving problems
